So, here we are two plus years into the Obama presidency and we are still talking about whether or not he was born in the United States. I am not sure who to be more frustrated with--the "birthers" for focusing on this issue while he runs our country into the ground, or Obama for not putting this to rest by simply providing the documentation.
Have you ever been to the DMV or social security office and tried to get something changed? Have you ever gone on a trip and tried to get in or out of the country? Documentation is necessary for the little peons of the world. How in the world does a person become President without the long form birth certificate? Shouldn't being President require everything just shy of a video of your birth on US soil?
The "birther" movement is gaining credibility as of late. Donald Trump has spent a lot of money in private investigating and claims that the things that are turning up are "amazing". A book is about to be unleashed that is said to contain shocking information and things that will cause the American people to lose faith in the notion that Obama is a citizen.
I am still in the camp that thinks he is a citizen. I will admit, however, that I feel that way because I believe that there's no way that my country could possibly have let this slide. That is probably a mistake.
Today, a Hawaiian state senator (Sam Slom) is saying that we are all missing the point. He was born in the United States but what he does not want you to know is what is ON the certificate....such as who his father is. "My belief is that there is a birth certificate, he was born here, but that there is information that for reasons known only to him he doesn't want released. If it were just the birth certificate, that would be one thing, but it's his school records, it's employment records. … Why would anybody, let alone the president of the United States, spend millions of dollars in legal fees to keep that hidden?" "As long as that goes on," he concluded, "I think it's a legitimate issue"---Sam Slom
Man, this is getting spooky. I swear that if James Earl Jones announces "Barak...I am your father" I am going to be really freaked out!
Probably not going to happen. However, Mr. President, just produce the records and get on with the destruction of everything that was ever good in this country.

"Soul Surfer", MUST SEE!
Last weekend my family and I, along with some friends went and saw "Soul Surfer". I'll admit that I never once considered watching the movie until a friend said his daughter wanted to see it and so why don't we all go with our families. No, the men did not conspire to watch it because Carrie Underwood was in the film!
I knew of the story of Bethany Hamilton. She was a young girl who had her arm bitten off by a shark while surfing back in 2003. I also knew that she had defied the odds and gotten back into the water and achieved greatness in the sport of surfing. What I didn't know was why the movie was called "SOUL Surfer". Maybe I am a bit slow on the learning curve but I did not think for a second that faith was going to be part of this movie.
In a fashion very untypical of "Hollywood" the faith of this young lady was played out before our eyes. She is a dynamic Christian girl whose faith in the Lord was the overriding factor that got her through this ordeal and spurred her back into the water. She has used the incident, her recovery, and her success (currently the #20 ranked woman's surfer in the world) to share Jesus with the world.
The movie was such a pleasant surprise. The faith in God of Bethany and her family is outwardly celebrated in this film. There is Bible reading, Christian songs, and quoting of scriptures. There appears to be no real attempt at a cover-up by Hollywood--Impressive!
There are lessons of perseverance, faith, family, and the importance of perspective. Bethany, at one point, begins to feel sorry for herself. She takes a mission trip to Thailand to minister to Tsunami survivors. There she sees devastation and meets a young child who lost family to the Tsunami. All of the sudden the loss of her arm paled in comparison.
I work with students everyday who are in serious need of perspective. This movie was so inspiring and instructional. You really must see it.
The negative: You may never get in the ocean again, REALLY!

Really Goliath Davis?
Goliath Davis was fired today as the Community Enrichment something something or other (oh by the way, that came with a $152,000 salary). Why was he fired? Mayor Bill Foster lost faith in him. Why, you ask? Brace yourself.
Mr. Community Enrichment failed to attend any of the three funerals for the slain St. Pete officers this year. So, you say--there's worse things that could happen--and you are right. So, here's the worse thing- he DID attend the funeral of cop killer Hydra Lacy Jr (who ambushed 2 St. Pete police officers on January 24)!!!!
Davis claims that he is still too emotional over a lost police officer 30 years ago to attend the funeral. So, I suppose that while at Lacy's funeral he was able to mourn the loss of one of the worst of society while blocking out the fact that he slaughtered the best society has to offer; all the while being able to block out his 30 year emotional battle.
Lacy not only killed one officer, he used that officer like a dummy to lure another officer back into the house and proceeded to shoot him as well.
Great job Mr. Davis. Way to enrich the community! Davis has said that he went to the wake to support... blah blah blah.
Immediate reaction has been predictable. Davis is threatening to sue, the NAACP has organized meetings and already played the race card, and the Mayor somehow will emerge from this looking like the racist if MSNBC gets a hold of this story. Maybe Obama will say that the Mayor acted "stupidly".
Ughh...this is so frustrating. Of course Mr. Davis should have been fired. He should have been fired for 3 reasons (1) Believing that we are stupid enough to buy this ridiculous story as to why you chose to support the cop killer's family and not the police (2) Being mentally unstable enough that an event that happened 30 years ago could prevent you from performing what amounts to...your job (3) There is no way in the world to justify paying you 152 thousand dollars a year to be a community organizer. We already are paying a community organizer 400,000 to run our country----that's plenty!

Way To Go Rick Scott, Really
Today, Florida Governor Rick Scott told the federal government that they could keep their 2.3 billion dollars, Florida doesn't want it. The reactions: politicians on both sides of the aisle could not get in line fast enough to condemn the governor.
What do I say? THANK YOU Rick Scott! Thank you for doing what vote greedy, integrity lacking political figures usually will not do. Thanks for looking beyond the next couple of years to see that this would cost us too much money, provide temporary jobs, and would be a failure as a matter of practical transportation.
Consider that (1) It will cost us AT LEAST 3 billion as a state on top of the 2.3 that we were going to be "given". (2) The jobs will be mostly temporary and then would disappear when the project is finished. (3) The rail is a joke.
I go to Orlando ALL the time. Given the proposed operational set-up of the proposed rail, who would use this? The rail would go from Tampa to Orlando. Suppose I want to go to Orlando. I drive to Ybor (20 min) and park my car (5 min). I pay to park ($10). I ride the train to Orladno (1 drop off destination) and then take a cab ($20-30) (10-20 min), and then when I m done turn around and do the same thing. NO WAY....An indepndent study showed it would take more travel time and be less cost effective (UNLESS gas prices soar to $10 a gallon, in which case I could be wrong). Not to mention the mess on I4 for the next how many years.
People, don't hate Rick Scott; applaud him for having the courage to take a stand on something that may single-handedly cost him the next election.

Jersey Shore America, Really
Nine million Americans tuned in to Jersey Shore last week to watch Snooki do- who knows what or who. Now, you may be asking--- what's a snooki? If so, you may be interested to know that a snooki is all the rage in America and every week America's youth tune in to see her and her unruly, ungodly, cohorts .
I have been trying for a long time to put my finger on the problems plaguing America. I think that I have found it! No, it's not that Jersey Shore and its cast of misfits displaying their train wreck lives each week will somehow exert some poor influence on America. It is that we are debased enough as a society to find this stuff entertaining. Then, the wheels in my head begin spinning. These are the people who vote for change without knowing - what kind of change.
Am I somehow suggesting that the watchers of Skins, Jersey Shore, 16 And Pregnant, The Bachelor, and all of the other trash on TV are somehow responsible for the mess that we find ourselves in? In the words of my good friend Phineas, Yes, yes I am!
We are such a dumbed down society. We are entertained by the most depraved things and we have lost our ability to blush. I hear my students all the time quoting Vinny and talking about Snooki. It's disgusting- it's not funny! Rather than read a good book, catch up on some political commentary, or even watch The State of The Union Address---we watch people have illicit sex, get so drunk that they don't remember yesterday, and violate every moral standard that made this country so good for so long (and no-that was not C-Span).
The aforementioned Snooki said on 'Ellen" that it's a good night for her if she does not pass out. "Yes, because I want to remember my night and sometimes I just don't. It sucks. So you're like, 'What did I do? Why did I wake up in a garbage can?' " Really, America. This is entertainment? This is enjoyable?
How bad is Jersey Shore? People from Jersey are embarrassed!!!!
To those who watch it because of some great respect or a desire to be like these losers---I hope you succeed. To those of you who watch it because you find it funny or entertaining, shame on you! To those that don't watch it on TV but let their children watch it----give it time and you'll get to watch it in real life in your living room, but not on TV.

Today marks 3 years since the passing of my sister Ruth-I wanted to share my testimony of how great our Lord is even in tragedy.
Today marks 3 years since my sister passed away. So many of you have always been so kind to ask how we are doing? So many times in order to keep from remembering too much of it we have simply said “We are doing just fine”. Well today I finally mustered up the courage to tell you my testimony through all of this.
On this day 3 years ago, I was met at the door by my mother in law and sister in law. You see nobody could get a hold of me ,so they drove over to tell me the sad news. Barry and I immediately left and went over to my parents house which was by far the worst day of my life. My emotions as that point were mostly anger, so therefore I cried for everyone else. I cried for my family. I remember feeling that I needed to be strong for them, so at that point my crying in public was limited. I will tell you that if you told me that would happen the day before I would have told you that I would have sat in a corner and cried for months. Amazingly I did not! A strength that I know only comes from the Lord came over me. I had a peace that even though my world was crashing in around me-He was holding me so very very tight. Many of you know my mother, who is very strong, but I believe God made her such a way for times like these. She mourned, but stayed so strong and kept going even though her heart was broken. My Dad was devastated, yet still got up and preached His Word and never once questioned God and never ever stopped witnessing to others. I admire them both so much, where as many others would be angry with God they never ever did. My sister Rachel had a hard time at first, but I see her strength in the Lord has not only carried her through all of this, but made both her and I stronger-so much stronger in the Lord. Then we finally saw Joe and their 3 boys. I remember holding little Jonah in my arms who was only 6 days old when she passed away. I remember taking him into a room and holding him and crying. Looking into his eyes was like looking into Ruth’s eyes. I felt so very helpless. I felt so very sad that their mother was gone. I remember the day after I was in the shower, and Barry had already taken the kids to church. I remember screaming out loud to Satan-saying “You may think this is going to destroy us, our family and our ministry, but I will not allow it. I told him that I would be more vocal and make my stand stronger. I told him that no matter what this crazy life holds-Christ won the victory on Calvary , and I would never ever let him destroy my desire to be in the ministry.” At her memorial I chose not to say anything about her, you see I was so very angry with her. Then I saw Joe get up and say nothing but sweet about her, and even afterwards that is all he said was nothing but sweet. I learned how to forgive her by watching him. He only spoke well of her. You see my sister was dealing with depression. I myself knew nothing about how severe depression can get until all this occurred. I believe all of us go through different forms of depression in our lives. Most of us are able to bounce back easily, while others slip into a more serious state. Unfortunately for Ruth, severe insomnia, depression, the doctors giving her anti depression drugs that were not working but making it worse, and having post partum from just having a baby. This all made for a very very bad combination. Being so very far away from her, I had no idea how bad she really was until it was too late.
It is amazing to see so many things that God already had prepared when she passed away. Dr. David Gibbs Jr. was already scheduled to speak at our church the day after she passed. Their support and love for our family was absolutely amazing. Joe and the boys lived in South Carolina . This was so very hard for us as we felt helpless in helping him with the boys. As the Lord would have it-Joe’s mom, dad and sister were already living up there, and they immediately stepped in to help Joe out with the boys. What an awesome God we have-just amazing.
In those beginning days I remember Barry just holding me, and letting me fall asleep while sitting on the couch with him. I remember just the simple hugs he would give me to assure me he was always there for me. His love for me during such tragedy just made us draw even closer than we already were. What an amazing husband God gave me, and I love him more than words could ever possibly say.
A little over a year after my sister’s passing Joe married a wonderful woman named Stefany. We had the privilege to meet her shortly after they were married. When we first saw-she looked very much like my sister. She has such a sweet personality. She loves the Lord with all her heart. She loves the boys and Joe very much. Stefany has been so wonderful to treat us as if we had always been part of her family. What a blessing!
I am an extremely strong woman. I believe God can get you through anything. I wanted to be so very strong for my family who I knew was hurting, but deep in my heart I was not mourning my sister Ruth. For two years I just kept going strong. Then a year ago it hit me that I really was never going to see her again. I realized that we wouldn’t have family Christmases together, I realized we would never ever ever be able to just sit around the three of us and watch all of the kids play together. When it hit me it hit me hard. I remember just crying at the drop of a hat when I was by myself. I stopped being so mad at her, and then started to realize that she would have never done what she did had she been of a clear state of mind. It was then that all these emotions came pouring out. It truly was a good thing for me to go through this ,as it has helped even more in the healing process. I then started realizing that so many people were not only asking us how we were doing to be there for us, but they also wanted answers for themselves. So many people had known my parents and us through this ministry. So many people were wondering how such a thing could happen to someone like my Dad who was so faithful to the Lord’s work. It was then that I tried to be more sensitive to people constantly asking how we were doing. My answer to that is God is so good. He never gives us anything we cannot handle. When we think He has abandoned us-it is then that He is holding us tightly. Sin was brought into this world by Satan himself-and through sin came death. In the Bible it says in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have ever lasting life.” You see Jesus death gave all of us who believe eternal life. That is every one even those who take their life. You see nothing can separate us from the love of God as it says in Romans 8:38-39 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. To say a person who commits suicide is going to hell is like saying those people who have mental handicaps are going to hell as well. Once you are saved, you are always saved-no matter what. He forgives us of all our sins. I know my sister knew Jesus Christ as her Saviour. She loved Jesus with all her heart, as it showed in her journals. Although what happened was not good at all-Jesus forgave her of even that sin.
I want to leave you all with some advice. First of all if any of you know of someone dealing with severe depression never ever take it lightly. Be there for them and learn more about symptoms of severe depression. Second if you know of someone who has lost of loved one-be there for them ALWAYS-even if it is uncomfortable for you. In closing let me say that I hold dear to the verse in Romans 8:28 28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Even in something like this-good has come from it. Barry and I have had many opportunities in helping people deal with depression and tragedy. Barry has had many opportunities in helping teens who deal with depression. So many things have been brought to light in all of this, and one of the biggest blessings in my life is my 3 amazing nephews that will always be a reminder of my sister. My sister Rachel and I had one of our best Christmases since Ruth’s passing. We were sitting around the table laughing at all the funny things she used to do, and although we miss her dearly-our separation is only temporary. For those of you who have not trusted Jesus Christ is their personal Saviour, I pray you do not wait another second. You are not guaranteed tomorrow. Trust Him today-and have the peace that only He can give in knowing you will be in heaven forever someday. Thank you so much to so many of you who loved and cared for my family throughout these past 3 years. My heart was so touched by the love and compassion.

Tragedy In Arizona Is Palin's Fault? Really
Media outlets that strongly warned citizens not to rush to judgement last year when Maj. Hasan killed 13 people at Ft. Hood and reportedly yelled "Allahu Akbar", are urging the same patience with the incident in Arizona as well..... wait, they're not?
No, CNN (The Communist News Network) had this beautiful dialogue:
After reporting that Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik had condemned what Dupnik called "the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government," CNN's Wolf Blitzer turned to congressional reporter Jessica Yellin for analysis. The sheriff "singled out some of the political rhetoric, as you point out, in creating the environment that allowed this kind of instance to happen," Yellin told Blitzer. "Even though, as you point out, this suspect is not cooperating with investigators, so we don't know the motive. President Obama also delivered that message, saying it's partly the political rhetoric that led to this.* So that's why we want to bring up one of the themes that's burning up the social media right now. On Twitter and Facebook, there is a lot of talk, in particular, about Sarah Palin. As you might recall, back in March of last year, when the health care vote was coming to the floor of the House and this was all heating up, Palin tweeted out a message on Twitter saying 'common sense conservatives, don't retreat -- instead reload.' And she referred folks to her Facebook page. On that Facebook page was a list of Democratic members she was putting in cross hairs, and Gabrielle Giffords was one of those in the cross hairs."
Blitzer and Yellin went on to clarify that there is no evidence that Loughner was even a Palin fan or that this could be connected to her in any way. Really? So you just decided to throw her name in the ring and suggest that maybe she insighted this shooting with her "rhetoric".
They both agreed that this was a good time to talk about "toning down our political rhetoric". No wonder CNN and all of its communist subsidiaries and twin sister stations are losing the ratings war. People see through this garbage and are seeing things more clearly than ever before.
This guy (Loughner) is a nut! Whether he acted on something from Sarah Palin or got the message from listening to Billy Ray Cyrus albums backwards, he is crazy and that's why he did this! We have to start holding people accountable for THEIR actions. We have to stop grabbing for more control and less rights every time something bad happens.
Have a speedy and fair trial and then rid humanity of this evil man. Then, through free market enterprise, let's force people like Wolf Blitzer, Chris Matthews, Keith Olberman, and others into another profession.

Merry Christmas, Tulsa!
Every year as we approach the CHRISTmas season we find more and more companies, municipalities, and government agencies giving in to political correctness and eliminating CHRISTmas.
It strikes me as interesting that they want to keep the tree, the presents, THE VACATION and all of the other perks, they would just like to not have to call it Christmas. Excuse me for being elementary in my argument but if we are going to really go full bore on this one shouldn't these people cancel the entire "holiday season"?
I wonder if I could get away this year with telling my child that we are going to celebrate her birthday, but there would be no gifts for her and her name would not be mentioned. Sounds crazy right? No, honey we are going to have a huge celebration and exchange gifts with everyone and have a nice meal, but there will be no celebration of YOU. Sounds senseless right? I can imagine her saying something like" if you are not going to celebrate my birthday, what's the point of all of the other hoopla? What makes today any different than any other day or season?
I am thankful for leaders like Oklahoma's Senator Jim Inhofe who is refusing to march in Tulsa's "Holiday" parade which previously was called Christmas parade. Inhofe said “I am hopeful that the good people of Tulsa and the city’s leadership will demand a correction to this shameful attempt to take Christ, the true reason for our celebration, out of the parade’s title. Until the parade is again named the Christmas Parade of Lights, I will not participate.” Good for you Jim!
Regardless of how a person deals with Jesus' resurrection, Jesus is real! Jesus was really born and he really was crucified; THIS IS HISTORICAL FACT! The Christmas celebration is all about the birth of Jesus. As a born-again Christian, this time of year is special because not only was Jesus born, but I understand that He was born with the mission to die for me to pay for my sins. However, even if you don't adhere to that set of beliefs, how is it offensive to celebrate the birth of Jesus? How is simply having the name Christ associated with the holiday offensive?
It is high time that Christians in America stand up and say enough is enough. We will Not be bullied by invaders and their sympathizers who are trying to change the very foundations and fabric of our nation. You will not hold us down, we will not be silent, and you will not win--and by the way, Merry CHRISTMAS!!

Wikileaks Scandal A Question Of Can Versus Should
Wikileaks on Sunday made public more than 250,000 cables between the US State Department, Pentagon and other agencies to foreign diplomats around the world. Wikileaks came about these latest set of documents by an Army private named Bradley Manning. Manning is being held in solitary confinement and will be court martialed in 2011. That all makes sense. This individual STOLE materials from the US Government that were clearly marked for specific eyes only and gave them to a whistleblowing organization. Yes, he should be tried and executed for espionage. What he has done has put the lives of men and women of the United States all over the world at risk and compromised America's upper hand in many diplomatic discussions. Furthermore, if sources continue to be named the US will lose many allies on the ground in the campaign against evil in this world.
The bigger question is what is the overall fall-out for the rest of us. Attorney General Holder said today that they will investigate and Congressman Peter King (the incoming DOHS) says that these individuals (Wikileaks) should be treated as terrorists. So, what does that mean for you and I? Let me share a possible scenario:
The US government uses this incident to fast forward two major pieces of legislation called The Net Neutrality Act and The Fairness Doctrine. Neither law would have or will prevent this sort of thing from happening, but it is just the type of "crisis" that Obama aids have said cannot be wasted.
I am distressed by the leaking of these documents. I am in favor of prosecuting ANYONE who broke a law in this particular case. However, we must be very cautious not to get too jumpy and too protective that we yield control and give up freedoms for the sake of safety. This is a very sticky issue and should be handled with great care.
How do you stop a group like Wikileaks from releasing this type of damaging information (that they did not steal or pay for) while affirming the media's ability to challenge the government and expose corruption?
There are fringe people out there even suggesting that the Obama administration itself is behind the leaks. The argument is how can an Army private for 8 months download top secret information and take it home. If that is how it happened, then we may have to re-think the whole super-power thing.

Profiling Must Be Part Of Airport Secuirty
To be very honest, I am not one of the millions up in arms about the new security measures at America's airports. Now, that may be because I have flown a grand total of twice in the last 15 years and don't intend to fly anytime soon. However, it may also be because I believe that flying in American air space is a privilege and not a right.
I actually feel like the scanners are a bad idea and the pat downs are perfectly legal and reasonable. If I do get on an airplane I would feel much safer knowing that all of my fellow passengers are aboard without materials that are prohibited. That having been said, when I flew from Tampa to DC last November I went through metal detectors and then had a meal in the terminal. I ordered steak and was presented with...wait for it.....A REAL KNIFE. I did not go through another detector before getting on the plane. Boy, did I feel safe.
What this situation calls for is common sense. I see images of young American children being frisked, patted, molested--whatever you want to call it. It's ridiculous! Only Islamic terrorists would use their own young children to commit acts of terror. So, this is where profiling comes in. Let's simply look to those who are a risk. Look at ALL of the terrorists of 9-11--ALL MIDDLE EASTERN MALES. Let's look at the underwear bomber of last holiday season---on a watch list, part of Al Qaeda and we knew it.
Stop harassing grandma and Tiny Tim and profile at airports and let the ACLU fight it in the courts.

Westboro Gets A Taste Of Their Own Medicine
The infamous Westboro Baptist church from Topeka, KS, which protests military funerals with signs of “God hates America,” faced a bit of irony over the weekend after clashing with about 1,000 counter protesters in McAlester, Oklahoma.
“Shortly after finishing their protest at the funeral of Army Sgt. Jason James McCluskey of McAlester, a half-dozen protesters from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., headed to their minivan,” Tulsa World reports, “only to discover that its front and rear passenger-side tires had been slashed.”
While I don't condone illegal activities, I am thrilled that people finally have come out in numbers to protest this evil. This group of so-called Christians has violated one of the most fundamental biblical concepts: teach the truth IN LOVE. Contrary to their website- God does not hate fags, God loves the homosexuals while abhorring their sin.
If the goal of the Christian community is the Great Commission and bringing people to Jesus- how does this fit into the accomplishing of that goal. These people are so offensive and destructive to the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. Christians all over America should show up IN FORCE wherever this group goes. We should have the aim of saying that we respect your sons and daughters and the sacrifice that they have made--and God loves you and every other person in this world--"while they were yet sinners".

Crist's Last Stand: Beg MeekTo Drop Out. Really!
In a last ditch desperate attempt to keep his lifelong political career alive Charlie Crist reached into his bag of tricks as Halloween nears. After flip-flopping on issues, changing party affiliation, and generally doing whatever it may take to get votes--Crist has stooped to new lows. It was revealed by Politico this week that Crist has begged Meek to leave the race and endorse Crist in an effort to keep Rubio from victory. Crist even got help from The Teflon President, Bill Clinton. Apparently last week Clinton's presumed campaign stumping for Meek was actually a visit to talk him out of the race. Meek was presented with the notion that leaving the race to keep Rubio from winning would make him a hero and further his career------eventually.
Thank God that there seems to have been found some honor somewhere. Many news outlets are reporting that it was Meek's wife who convinced him at the last minute to have honor and see the race through. According to some sources the time and place had already been chosen for the bowing out and endorsement of Crist. I disagree with Meek on almost EVERY issue, but thank you for having the honor to do this right.
Moreover, thank you for not rewarding the political weasel that is Charlie Crist. Marco Rubio will likely win on Tuesday, but somehow I think that Crist will still have some tricks up his sleeve. I pray that the voters of Florida can see through his ploys and his lack of a spine to the real Charlie Crist---the one who NEEDS to get elected to keep his dream of being President of The United States alive. Sorry Charlie--we see who you really are, the mask is off and we are scared!

19 Million Floridians- And We Have To Choose Between Sink And Scott, Really?
Last night I watched, as much as I could take, of the debate between Rick Scott and Alex Sink. As I watched I kept coming back to the same question: this is the best that Florida has to offer? Really, Florida?
The verbal jabs were fast and furious, yet not delivered with any conviction or great oration skills. The two endlessly called one another crooks--Scott a crook in business, Sink a crook in government. Sink is so weak and poorly spoken that her campaign (against debate rules) sent her a text message on how to answer a particular question!!!!! Most who watched the debate said it was neither coherent or informative. DUH!
Other than the fact they are both crooks, there were some pointed differences in the two candidates: (1) Sink is opposed to an Arizona style immigration bill while Scott is for it. (2) Scott favors the Nebraska type bill that would limit abortions after 20 weeks and Sink opposes it. (3) Sink is an Obama liberal while Scott purports to be the anti-Obama.
All that having been said--I cannot believe that in one week, either way, we will have a governor elect that has defrauded the people of the United States and the people of Florida. We will also have a governor elect that as of last night did not know what minimum wage was in Florida (when asked--Scott said $7.55-Sink nodded. Both were wrong- it is $7.25).
19 million Floridians and this what we came up with?

Liberals Continue Tap Dance To Not Offend Islam: Juan Williams Fired At NPR
Longtime news analyst Juan Williams, who has written extensively on race and civil rights, has been fired by National Public Radio after comments he made about Muslims on the Fox News Channel. Host Bill O‘Reilly brought on guests to discuss his appearance last week on ABC’s “The View” during which Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg walked off the set in protest of O‘Reilly’s views on Muslims.
Williams said the following:
“I mean, look, Bill, I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the Civil Rights movement in this country,” Williams said. “But when I get on a plane, I got to tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”
Wow, really? That gets you fired? (This would be a good time to say please don't tell my boss I have thought and said the same thing on more than one occasion). Seriously people? We were attacked by radical MUSLIMS!!! When we are looking around and analyzing our security on planes we should be looking for MUSLIMS!! It does not mean that all Muslims are bad or that they should be treated differently. Juan Williams did not suggest anything of the sort---he simply stated that when on a plane he gets nervous when he sees people in traditional Muslim garb.
The majority of the terror plots that have been foiled since 9-11 have turned up Muslims. Those training in middle eastern countries to kill Americans and America's allies are Muslims! The bombers of the 93 WTC, the USS Cole, the embassy in Beirut--ALL MUSLIMS!
Political correctness is out of control and shows no sign of being reeled in. A blogger on Huffington Post put it this way: "To say that many people get worried when they see men in Muslim garb is a honest human response to seeing pictures on the news of folks in the same garb chanting "Death to America" and beheading folks. We can't even have an honest discussion on anything. This political correctness is absurd.
I am not a huge fan of Juan Williams and I disagree with him often, but not on this one.

"Muslims Attacked The US on 9-11" Shocks The View
Two hosts of ABC talk show "The View" angrily stomped off the set while on live television Wednesday in the middle of a contentious debate with Fox New Channel's Bill O’Reilly about the planned mosque in lower Manhattan, the New York Post reported Thursday.
Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar left the set after O'Reilly said that the U.S. was attacked by Muslims on 9-11. Now, I know that Goldberg and Behar are not the sharpest tools in the shed. In fact, someone please explain to me how either one has an audience of people that value their opinion. They spout uneducated opinions and ignore facts every day. I have watched Behar get worked up on more than one occasion and have no clue as to what she is talking about. She is short on facts, short on tolerance (something she demands from others) and short on temper, apparently.
The fact IS: America was attacked exclusively by radical muslim men on 9-11. They were all Muslim!!!! That is what Bill O'Reilly said--we were attacked by Islam. I am curious as to what extent Behar would go to throwing a hissy fit if a blanket statement were made about Christians or conservatives. This seems to be a one way street for her and many other liberal media dimwits in this country.
Most noteworthy--many said that the show's ratings soared the minute they left the set!!!

Obama, "The First Post-Racial President" Goes Racial!
President Obama, earlier this week, exclaimed that republicans are counting on "black folks staying home" this November. Really? No, sir, "we" are counting on the American people to wake up and realize that their country has been taken hostage by a bunch of progressive, ungodly, crooks and we will wrestle control away from them. It has nothing to do with black and white. It has everything to do with good and evil; right and wrong, godly and ungodly. It has to do with the promised "fundamental transformation of America" that you are now delivering.
It seems sad and a bit ironic that the first "post-racial" President in our country would in this critical moment invoke the race card. It is so offensive to people like myself and, I am sure, well meaning candidates across America that he would do this. The race card is a scapegoat. It is a scapegoat for all of the misdoings of this administration and those who have helped drive this country deeper into debt, further into the corrupt abyss, and away from our founder's intent. Mr. President, you should know better and shame on you!

Puppy Tweeting, Really?
Now, I have seen it all. From the "if you don't have a life column" comes puppy tweeting. That's right, now your puppy, through the use of a technological miracle, can tweet its movements and activities!
Puppy Tweets is an electronic dog tag with a sensor that you attach to your dog's collar. It detects your pet's movements and sounds and sends a variety of tweets to a Twitter page you set up for your dog on a computer or smart phone. You can invite all your friends to be followers, too. If a dog is very active, he could tweet: "Chasing everything that moves is definitely a full time job!" If he is sleeping, his inactivity might trigger the message: "Your comforter does just what its name says it does." To guard against repetition, Mattel was adding 200 free tweets this week to the message library, Cooper said.
I thought Farmville, and Fishville (or whatever its called) and Mafia Wars and the likes were a waste of time. However, those seem like wonderful ideas and amazing use of time compared to this. The worst part of all of this is that I know that the country is going to go nuts over this! Sure, we will still complain that "there are not enough hours in the day" and "I just can't find a job that fits my needs", all the while charting our puppies movements around the house via our work computers.
The saving grace is that the ACLU and PETA will be on this like flies. I can hear them now: "This is a fundamental violation of the puppies rights." For once I may come down on the side of PETA. Look people, buy yourself a dog if you want. Pet it, groom it, feed it, teach it tricks---what do I care. But c'mon enough is enough.
Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, and Balto--they would not have stood for this!

Alan Grayson Is Evil And His Campaign Ads Prove It
Yesterday I watched what I thought could be the worst political campaign ad that I had ever seen. The ad, by Orlando Congressman Alan Grayson, compared his Republican opponent to the Taliban. Grayson's team used quotes from Webster, a devoutly religious man, saying that wives should submit to their husbands. The commercial then goes on to discuss legislation that Webster has supported or blocked regarding women's issues, abortion etc...
Now, Webster is right about submission because it is from God's Word. Webster has also been on the right side of legislation seeking to protect the right of the unborn child. Grayson, on the other hand, is wrong! He is wrong because he is a venomous snake. He is wrong because he is on the wrong side of protecting the unborn. And now, he is wrong because his ad is disingenuous and misleading. It is a sophisticated twisting of a man's words and easily the worst ad EVER. Here's what Webster is reported to have said that caused Grayson to compare him to the Taliban:
"Wives submit yourselves to your own husbands. She should submit to me. That's in the Bible"
Submit to me.
Submit to me.
Submit to me.
The commercial pauses between the statements to make comparisons to the Taliban and discusses legislation that Webster has voted on. What's so evil about this? The actual full video shows the CONTEXT of the Webster speech and carries a far different tone. Look:
Webster:
"Find a verse. I have a verse for my wife. I have verses for my wife: Don't pick the ones that say she should submit to me. That's in the Bible, but pick the ones that YOU'RE (all caps added by me for emphasis)supposed to do."
Webster goes on in the video to say--we are supposed to love our wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it---hardly a Taliban philosophy. Really, I am so angry about this because it is what is wrong with politics and much of what's wrong with America. People of Orlando should be out in force to send Grayson out of Washington. The problem is that he is loaded with money and in politics today--money talks!
I encourage all who can to support Daniel Webster in whatever ways that you can. He really deserves it! Really!

It's "endowed by their Creator", Mr. President!
For the second time in a week the President, while giving a speech and referencing the Declaration of Independence, omitted the phrase "endowed by their creator". This time the President was at a Democratic fundraiser (which I admit would be an unusual place to discuss God). Previously the President was speaking to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus on September 15 when he forgot the phrase. Really, Mr. President? Don't we learn this phrase in grade schools in America---or, we used to.
Here is what President Obama said in the recent quote:
[I]f we stay true to our values, if we believe that all people are created equal and everybody is endowed with certain inalienable rights and we’re going to make those words live, and we’re going to give everybody opportunity, everybody a ladder into the middle class, every child able to go as far as their dreams will take them — if we stay true to that, then we’re going to be able to maintain the energy and the focus, the fight, the gumption to get stuff done.”
Endowed by who, Sir? You? The federal government? The point of the phrase is to emphasize that there are certain rights that simply cannot be taken away, but by God. He gave them and only He can remove them.
With all of the hoopla about whether or not Obama is a Christian or a Muslim or something in between, one would think that he would choose his words quite carefully. Which is the point to me---I believe he IS choosing his words carefully and refuses to acknowledge the God of the founding fathers.
I am reminded of Galatians 6:7 "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap". President Obama, my fear would be that if I continued to omit the creator that he may in fact decide to omit me.
Now, I am sure that big brother is watching and Secret Service will be at my door here soon. I am not suggesting that I or anyone else should harm the President (lest he be the President of Iran). I believe that all instances in our nation of violence against political leaders are unacceptable. What I am suggesting is that the President acknowledge the God of Abraham so that he and his nation might be blessed.

Ahmadinejad, Black Panthers & Farrakhan Hold Secret Meetings In New York
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s trip to New York City reportedly expanded beyond meeting with foreign dignitaries at the United Nations. According to the New York Post, the Iranian president’s six-night stay also included a “secret sit-down” with militant Nation of Islam minister Louis Farrakhan and members of the New Black Panther Party. Sources report that they met at the Warwick Hotel on 54th Street.
It's bad enough that we HAVE to let this guy come into our country and refer to us as "The Great Satan". It's worse that he can stand in New York this past week and accuse the United States of orchestrating 9-11 in an effort to support Israel further. However, this news takes the cake!
Explain to me in any logical terms how this sick, twisted, maniacal, psycho gets to travel around our country and enjoy the blessings of an economic system that he vilifies. How does he have the right to do anything but show up, give a speech, and LEAVE! Really, America? We are going to allow, possibly our greatest enemy in the world today, freedom to come and go and "meet" with individuals over a fine meal? This is absurd! His movements should be restricted to going to and from the meetings.
Also, feel free to explain why Farrakhan and the New Black Panther Party are not being questioned this morning about the details of their "encounter" with Ahmadinejad. What is wrong with this country? Farrakhan must be loosely educated, to say the least. Does he not understand that Muslims were the biggest slave traders of all time and were the last to give it up by force in the 1920′s. And of course Iran aligned itself with Hitler in WWII who boycotted the Olympics because black folks were in it.
And as I read of this news it struck me that while these things are going on and the President surrounds himself with communist progressives--the leadership of this country wants you to be aware of the great evil facing our nation------The Tea Party. Really?
